PETER Kay is now worth an incredible £32.4m and made £3k an HOUR last year – even though he hasn’t worked since 2017.

The Bolton funnyman is our nation’s most lovable comic and it shows on his bank balance too.

Peter, 47, is the UK’s richest comedian with a fortune worth over £32 million – and he made a further million last year without even working!

According to accounts filed at Companies House this week, his two main firms Good Night Vienna Productions Ltd and Hussein Traders Ltd are worth a combined £32,391,479.

This is a staggering £88,743 a week and over £3,000 an hour.

The accounts also reveal that he’s got £23,637,971 in the bank and investments worth £8,435,080.

He made a clear profit last year of over £950,000 despite not working since December 2017 when he announced the cancellation of his long awaited tour for ‘unforeseen family reasons’.

Since then, he’s been spotted in public just a couple of times – he hosted a charity screening of Car Share in Blackpool in April 2018 and was pictured enjoying a tram ride in the same seaside town in May 2019.

He’s only appeared once on our screens, making a cameo on BBC’s Big Night In last April.

Viewes at the time rejoiced when they saw him, with one tweeting during lockdown: "How amazing to see #PeterKay Literally made these last 4 weeks so much better. The nation loves you."

He was filmed for the Comic Relief and Children In Need event eating an ice lolly in his sunny back garden in Bolton.

The show also featured the hilarious music video of his Tony Christie remake (Is This the Way to) Amarillo.

Peter was forced to postpone his much-anticipated Dance For Life comeback in March due to the coronavirus crisis.

It's 15 years since the song went from being a retro request at Spanish holiday bars to the most played song in the UK, all thanks to Peter Kay.
