Outlander season 4 trailer sees Jamie and Claire going to war in a new land

The Outlander season 4 trailer is finally here, and it looks like Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) are going to war again.

The trailer sees the couple move to new land in the hope of fulfilling the American dream. Initially, they’re welcomed with open arms by Jamie’s Aunty Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy), but it’s not long before the serious music kicks in and the violence starts.

Outlander‘s fourth season will draw from the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander novel series, Drums of Autumn, which sees Claire and Jamie trying to find a place for themselves in the colony of North Carolina at a time when Claire knows a revolution in America is building.

The new episodes will pick up in the wake of the season three finale, which saw the time-crossed lovers wash up in America after a shipwreck.

In addition to Balfe and Heughan reprising their roles as Claire and Jamie respectively (wouldn’t be much of a show without them), we’ll also be seeing Sophie Skelton return as their daughter Brianna as she and Roger (Richard Rankin) become privy to some information that could alter the course of the Frasers’ lives.

Other returning stars include John Bell as Ian Fraser Murray, Lauren Lyle as Marsali MacKimmie Fraser and César Domboy as Fergus Fraser.

They’ll also be joined by a host of new faces, including Ed Speleers as the villainous pirate and smuggler Stephen Bonnet.

Outlander has proved such a success for Starz that the network has already renewed the show for a fifth and sixth season.

Season 4 of Outlander will premiere in the US on Sunday, November 4, and UK audiences will get to watch it on Amazon Prime Video close to that release date.
