Bristol Palin: Dakota Meyer’s PTSD led to our divorce

Bristol Palin claims that Dakota Meyer‘s struggle with PTSD contributed to their divorce.

“My husband, Dakota, has been struggling with PTSD and it’s been hard on our marriage,” Palin, 27, says in a trailer for the new season of “Teen Mom O.G.” “We don’t know how to co-exist together. I don’t want to raise my kids to think this is what a marriage looks like, you know.”

As a Marine, Meyer, 30, received the Medal of Honor, the military’s highest decoration, for his involvement in 2009’s Battle of Ganjgal in Afghanistan.

In another segment, she tells a pal, “I go to sleep at night knowing that I did give it my all.”

Palin and Meyer first split just days before their scheduled May 2015 wedding.

A month later, Palin revealed she was pregnant.

She welcomed daughter Sailor Grace in December 2015.

After a bitter custody battle over Sailor, Meyer and Palin revealed they’d tied the knot in secret.

They welcomed their second daughter Atlee Bay in May 2017.

By February 2018, however, the couple called it quits yet again. In their divorce filings, the pair cited “discord” and “conflict of personalities” for the split.

Palin confirmed in July that she was “freshly divorced.”

Meyer previously wrote of the split on Instagram, “She wasn’t happy with me so it’s for the best … You can try everything and give the person all you have and if they don’t choose to see good in you it’s out of your control. Know when enough is enough.”
