MAFS's Luke Cuccurullo Felt 'Repulsed and Dead Inside' After Kissing New Wife Kate Sisk

Married at First Sight’s Kate Sisk and Luke Cuccurullo are far from living happily ever after.

In a preview of Tuesday night’s episode of the Lifetime reality show shared exclusively with PEOPLE, the newlywed couple expresses their concerns that their relationship might not work out after the first kiss they shared following their wedding didn’t go as planned.

“I think that Luke is a pleaser and he knows that I’m attracted to him, and I like him … so he kissed me last night just to try it and then had to stop because he said it made him feel repulsed and dead inside,” Sisk, 28, says in the clip. “It made me feel terrible, and I don’t know what to do.”

Cuccurullo, 31, reveals that he had “turned off” his emotions in order to kiss Sisk and that “it didn’t feel natural.”

“It felt really disjointed somehow, and it definitely was a situation that was uncomfortable,” Cuccurullo continues. “If you’re marrying a stranger, there’s 100 percent a chance that you guys don’t mesh, that you guys aren’t attracted to each other, but it’s definitely a risk that I took and it feels absolutely terrible that this relationship won’t work out.”

In the video, the Philadelphia-based pair are seen packing their luggage to go home after their honeymoon in Costa Rica.

Sisk, a hotel marketing specialist, and Cuccurullo, a civil engineer, had a PDA-free wedding ceremony which was shown during the season premiere on Jan. 1.

Married at First Sight (produced by Kinetic Content) airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
