LOVE Island star Luca Bish has revealed the real reason for going on the ITV2 dating show – saying it was NOT to find love.
The reality star – who coupled up with Michael Owen's daughter Gemma during the 2022 summer series – admitted he didn't go on the show "for a swim and to fall in love".
Luca, 24, who previously worked as a fishmonger, admitted he took part for the "experience on the whole".
“If I found love then that was a bonus and if I came out with a load of followers and opportunities then obviously that’s a bonus too," he told OK! Magazine.
"Having said that, I’m not really cut out for that influencer life and actually shy away from it."
He admitted that Islanders often take part on the show just to grow their social media following rather than find their soulmate.

"If someone tells me they’re going in there and going to fall in love because five people have had babies off it and they’ve been married, they’re watching the Disney Channel and believe in happy endings all the time.
"I’d say 99.9% of people go in there for a change of life and hopefully come out with a few followers."
Luca has kept a low profile online in recent weeks as he still adjusts to life in the limelight.
Back in March his ex – Gemma – hit back at claims they had rekindled their romance.

It came after a TikTok account wrote: "Gemma and Luca are back together! I now truly before if it was meant to be it will come back!"
However, Gemma made clear that it was neither meant to be nor had come back.
She replied firmly but politely: "Sorry… this is not true!”
Gemma and Luca, 23, were together for almost the entirety of last summer's Love Island but only became official after leaving.
The fishmonger put on a huge display of affection with a poolside 'proposal' when he asked her to be his girlfriend and presented her with a £6,000 Cartier bracelet.
However, while they seemed happy for a time and Luca even joined her family on a lavish trip to Dubai, it seemed all did not go to plan.
They ended up splitting three months after the show with Gemma releasing a statement to her followers.
Luca has remained tight lipped on the break up, but has thanked fans for their support.
