The Sun Online revealed the couple got in a huge row last week and pictures showed the pair embroiled in a public spat at a bus stop.
Following their row in the early hours, Laura, 29, took to Instagram to deny it was anything more than a lovers' tiff.
But Paul, 31, jetted to the Big Apple solo and people online are putting two and two together – claiming their romance must be over.
The hunky model shared a throwback photo of himself on a motorbike and his feed flooded with questions about his relationship status.
One fan asked: "Are u and laura together still"
Another fan decided they weren't, and said: "Paul in new york, laura in london, think must if split up."
A third begged to know more and asked: "Are you and Laura together or not?"
Former air hostess Laura, 29, insisted they had a "little bicker like any normal couple" in response to images exclusively revealed by The Sun.
The photos showed them having a furious bust-up by a bus stop.
Playing down their fight – which saw Paul wave his arms in the air as Laura looked livid – the reality TV star took to her Instagram Story to say that the couple were still an item.
In a message on a pink background she wrote: "To answer any speculation – Paul and I have not broken up.
"We had a little bicker like any normal couple.
"Being in the public eye proves privacy is difficult, especially at a bus stop. #forgiveournaivety."
But Laura and Paul went home separately after their first "date night".
They continued to argue as they walked to a bus stop but he seemed unable to lift her mood.
