Britain’s Got Talent child star Connie Talbot looks very different now

Britain’s Got Talent fans will remember Connie Talbot as the adorable schoolgirl with the cheeky gap-toothed grin who showed off her huge voice in the show’s first series.

But the little girl who memorably stunned tough nut Simon Cowell in the talent competition looks very different now.

Taking to Twitter, a now 17-year-old Connie posed for a stunning portrait shot.

With her long wavy blonde locks cascading over her shoulder, teenager Connie gave a practised pout to the camera.

And in a cheeky nod to her BGT days, Connie shared a rainbow emoji in the caption.

Connie rose to fame on the 2007 series of Britain’s Got Talent where she had audiences in tears with her faultless performance of Over the Rainbow.

At her first audition, Simon Cowell described her as ‘pure magic’ and promised to make her her a cool £1million in under a year.

She made it all the way to the live grand final after winning her semi-final with a performance of Michael Jackson’s Ben.

But after coming up against fan favourite Paul Potts in the final round, Connie was pipped to the post and eventually had to settle for second place.

Still triumphing where many reality stars have failed, Connie went on to release debut album Over the Rainbow which sold 250,000 copies and reached number one in three countries.

She became a star in Europe, the US and across Asia where she had gained a huge fanbase thanks to YouTube clips of her TV performances.

Connie followed that up with three more albums, with Beautiful World released in November 2012.

Back in 2010 Connie played on Chinese television to an audience of 400 million people and she even performed in front of world leaders at a concert to launch 2016’s G20 world summit in Seoul.

Not bad for finishing the show in second place!
