Loose Women send love to Katie Price in rehab and Mel B reveals her PTSD ordeal

The Loose Women have sent their love to Katie Price after she checked into rehab.

Tormented Katie was seen pulling a suitcase into The Priory yesterday after being confronted by pals over her increasingly erratic behaviour.

She was later diagnosed with co-morbid post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and starts 28 days of rehab today.

Mel B commended Katie for speaking out and confessed that her "traumatic marriage" led to her own PTSD ordeal.

While Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha admitted that they never realised that you could get PTSD in such circumstances.

Giving her best wishes to Katie, host Ruth Lagnsford said: "You may have seen in the papers that Katie Price, close friend of this show, has had a few personal problems over the last few months and checked into rehab this weekend.

"Obviously we don’t have all the details of what’s going on but would wish to send Katie our best wishes."

The panel then discussed Katie’s situation, which they seemed to know little about, and their thoughts on PTSD.

Jane said: "I read the report at the weekend and Katie if you’re watching [blew kiss].

"I do lots of work with Help For Heroes. My experience of PTSD is soldiers coming back from Germany of Afghanistan. These terrifying, explosive situations.

"I never knew it come come out day to day life."

Nadia added: "I never knew but I guess the spectrum is broad."

Mel B then opened up about suffering from PTSD during her strained marriage with Stephen Belafonte.

Speaking on Loose Women about PTSD, she said: "It’s anything you have been through that’s traumatic to you. I’ve openly admitted I suffered from PTSD.

"It’s an ongoing thing and a condition you have to acknowledge. I commend her [Katie] for saying it out loud.

When asked what caused her suffering, she shouted: "I had a traumatic marriage."

Giving her advice to Katie, she said: "It’s good to be able to acknowledge it. You want to live a fulfilled life but also recognise what you have experienced."
