When is Line of Duty series five on BBC One?
The fifth season of Line Of Duty will air on BBC One in 2019.
Filming for the series has been confirmed to begin in Belfast in September 2018.
After series four concluded, the BBC announced Line Of Duty had been renewed for two more series – so we'll be getting a series six too.
BBC director-general Tony Hall said: "I am very excited to say there’s not one but two more series of Line Of Duty. So hooray for AC-12!"
Who's in the cast of Line of Duty series 5?
In July 2018 The Sun exclusively revealed that Stephen Graham will replace Thandie Newton as the chief investigator in Line Of Duty.
However, writer Jed Mercurio previously told the TV Times that Thandie could be back as Roz saying: "There are always ways in which we'd bring someone back for the right story."
On September 28, Line of Duty tweeted "Welcome to the club! @StephenGraham73 #LineofDuty5", confirming that he is the show's new lead.
Vicky McClure (DS Kate Fleming), Adrian Dunbar (Spt Ted Hastings) and Martin Compston (Steve Arnott) are also set to return.
Aiysha Hart (DS Sam Railston) and Tony Pitts (DCS Lester Hargreaves) who featured in the series four finale could also be making a comeback for series five.
What is Line Of Duty about?
Line Of Duty is a crime drama which first aired in 2012.
It follows the work of AC-12 a special unit charged with investigating corruption within the police force.
Jed Mercurio told the BBC: "I want to look at the personal lives of all the regulars in series five.
"They've taken a backseat in [series four] to Roz Huntley, so it would be good to explore that side of things a bit more.
"The regulars are definitely up for doing more."
