Following her stint on Good Morning Britain yesterday, Kate Garraway made a quick change in a stunning patterned floral dress to meet with Prince William and Kate Middleton. The presenter was spotted chatting to the royals as they filmed a “special” moment for the upcoming Pride of Britain awards, which she shared details of on GMB this morning.

“Some more royal pictures to share with you,” Ranvir remarked. “Kate, you kept this very quiet. Let’s take a look. Look at you, stalking Kate and Wills.”

Kate explained: “This was yesterday, it was a great honour for me.

“I got to spend a bit of time with them because they were giving their time.”

Ranvir cut in: “They look like they are ignoring you there.”

“Yeah, they look like they are blanking me,” Kate joked referencing one snap which showed the royals looking away from her.

“I actually just sort of followed them for the day.

“No, no, they were taking part in something for Pride of Britain on ITV on November 1. It’s really moving and beautiful.”

“We can’t have the big event can we like we normally would have,” Ranvir added.

Kate continued: “We can’t have the big live event with the red carpet and all of that but they are doing it slightly different this year.

“It’s very moving and they’re involved in that.

“But I have to say, I did have to ask her about her hair. Her new blonde, it is fabulously glossy in person, I can report.”

The presenter then added a bit more detail about the royals involvement, commenting: “They are rewarding others and awarding others. They’ve done some wonderful work as Pride of Britain does every year.

“It was a great honour for me… I wasn’t awarded anything by the way!”

Kate’s meeting with the Cambridges came after the royals paid a visit to the Hold Still project she launched in May.

The couple looked at the finalists’ images which were submitted to show what the coronavirus lockdown looked like them.

In a statement obtained by People, the Duchess said of the project: We’ve all been struck by some of the incredible images we’ve seen which have given us an insight into the experiences and stories of people across the country.

”Some desperately sad images showing the human tragedy of this pandemic and other uplifting pictures showing people coming together to support those more vulnerable.”

The finalists’ images will be displayed on billboards across the country for four weeks.

The winners will then have their portraits exhibited at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
