It was the first time that the pair have seen each other since they split in April.
In video footage obtained by The Mirror, Jess can be heard shouting: "You're full of s***" at her ex – demanding to know why he left her.
Furiously speaking to the Strictly Come Dancing professional, Jess was overheard saying: "You broke my heart, you lied to me.
"I got in a cab and I never saw you again for six months, you're talking s***.
"You used me… Publicity, fame. No-one who loves someone drops them, you're jealous of everything."
Giovanni can be seen trying to calm the Towie star down, with others – including Jess' manager and Giovanni's fellow Strictly pro Aljaz Skorjanec – also attempting to intervene and break the row up.
However, Jess carries on, seething: "We were together six months, you never cared about me.
"I want to know why – you left me!"
Giovanni eventually managed to get Jess to sit at a table with him so that they can chat more privately, but moments later the reality star has jumped up again, shouting: "You are full of s***!"
Giovanni left Jess in April after six months together, with sources close to the dancer saying at the time that he couldn't cope with the star's level of fame.
The fiery confrontation comes just days after The Sun Online exclusively revealed that Giovanni has been on a string of secret dates with Strictly contestant Ashley Roberts.
A TV insider said: "The spark between Ashley and Giovanni has become quite widely noticed among the crew – they just seem to really hit it off.
"He is training up north at the moment while she is based down here so they only get to see each other towards the end of the week. But they’ve been making the most of it.
"After the show each week they’ve been heading out for drinks together in London and just hanging out and looking very cosy.
"It’s very early days but it looks like things are going well – and of course they’re both single so it’s all totally innocent fun."
Giovanni recently furiously hit back at claims that he was dating his Strictly celebrity partner, married Faye Tozer.
Former pro Gleb Savchenko shocked fans of the BBC dance show earlier this month when he told The Sun that everyone on Strictly is cheating – and hinted that Giovanni and Faye "could have hooked up".
Giovanni was quick to slam the speculation, saying: "This is total and utter nonsense! No one has any idea why Gleb is saying stuff like this.
"It's utter rubbish."
