I’m a Celebrity aired one of its most brutal Bushtucker Trials yet on tonight’s (November 24), and may have created one of the best moments of the series so far.
Following the fall of Emperor Noel, Noel Edmonds had to face his first Bushtucker Trial alongside Harry Redknapp.
And the first part involved holding a series of horrible creepy crawlies in their mouths for 60 seconds, Noel starting off with a stick insect, something he managed fairly easily.
They then got through beach worms and yabbies between them, Harry joking as Noel held the latter in his mouth: “Yabba dabba doo!”
Viewers found the moment pretty hilarious:
Noel struggled with laughter, though managed to get through the 60 seconds, saying afterwards of Harry’s jokes and the other campmates egging them on: “I don’t know what’s worse. That or you lot up there!”
Harry then had to hold 6 witchety grubs in his mouth, Dec joking: “It looks like a before picture for a dentist or something.”
However, the worst was to come as Noel had to hold 20 cockroaches in his mouth. The contestant looking understandably horrified as he tried to keep the creatures in his mouth.
After that came a giant cockroach and a huntsman spider, Harry joking about Noel holding the latter in his mouth by singing: “I know an old woman who swallowed a spider…”
Still, the pair managed to win 11 stars for camp, later having to endure eating sheep brains and fish eyes.
Viewers, however, were loving the trial, as well as the banter between Noel and Harry during it:
