I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! only started last night (November 18), but it’s already smashing the ratings, confusing viewers and generating that all-important viral content.
Although there were plenty of things to work with – Harry Redknapp joking about running over his wife, for example – Twitter quickly turned DIY SOS‘ Nick Knowles into a meme.
Not totally original but still funny nonetheless, fans of I’m a Celebrity have been posting pictures of majestic tree houses and luxury homes alongside a predictable joke.
“What the dunny will look like after Nick Knowles spends half hour in there,” one viewer quipped, spawning a number of inspired takes.
We’ll just ignore the fact that it isn’t actually Nick who renovates people’s houses in DIY SOS, shall we?
Last night’s (very successful) launch night also sparked some scepticism among I’m a Celebrity fans, after some noticed something amiss about EastEnders star Rita Simons.
Despite the Aussie sun, and an unexpected lake swim, Rita’s bright pink hair colour barely faded, leading some viewers to speculate over the episode’s timeline.
“[Rita’s] hair’s changing every single shot”, one amateur detective claimed.
