The Suspect is about Dr Joe O’Loughlin (Aidan Turner) who seems to have the perfect life.
He has a successful practice as a clinical psychologist, a loving wife and daughter and a publishing deal on the way.
Joe then gets labelled a hero after rescuing a young patient who was ready and willing to jump from the 10th floor of the hospital where he works.
It is his glowing public profile which attracts police officers DI Vincent Ruiz (Shaun Parkes) and his young partner DS Riya Devi (Anjli Mohindra) to ask for his assistance.

The body of a young woman is discovered in a shallow grave in a west London cemetery.
As the officers are assigned to the case, they try to figure out if it was suicide or murder.
With Joe still in the spotlight for his brave efforts, the police pay him a visit, eager for his expertise and help in profiling.
But as the investigation continues, it looks like Joe could be keeping some secrets himself from the officers.
Talking about taking on the leading role, actor Turner said: “I am thrilled to be taking on the complex and demanding role of Joseph O’Loughlin, a man with so much to give but so much to lose, and a hidden darker side.”
Author Michael Robotham was also happy about Turner being picked for Joe O’Loughlin, calling it “an inspired choice”.
He added: “I could not be in safer hands.”
