About: He murdered 10 people in the Wichita, Kansas area from 1974 to 1991 and left clues to taunt authorities. His self-given alter ego “BTK” stood for “bind, torture, kill.” Rader wasn’t arrested until Feb. 25, 2005. He’s currently serving 10 life sentences.

Who plays him on the show: Sonny Valicenti whose other credits include the films The Post and Office Christmas Party.

2.David Berkowitz, aka the Son of Sam:

About: He murdered six people in New York City from 1976 to 1977. He claimed he received orders to kill by a demon-possessed dog owned by his neighbor Sam Carr. He was arrested on Aug. 10, 1977 and sentenced to six consecutive 25-years-to-life terms.

Who plays him on the show: Oliver Cooper whose other credits include the TV show Californication and also Office Christmas Party.

3.William “Junior” Pierce:

About: He was convicted of murdering nine people across Georgia and South Carolina from 1970 to 1971 while on parole for a string of lesser crimes. He’s currently serving life in prison in Georgia.

Who plays him on the show: Michael Filipowich whose other credits include the TV shows 24 and The Oath.

4.William Henry Hance:

About: He was convicted of murdering three people from 1977 to 1978. He was executed by electric chair on May 31, 1994.

Who plays him on the show: Corey Allen whose other credits include the TV shows Power and Manhattan.

5.Elmer Wayne Henley Jr.:

About: He helped serial killer Dean Coril abduct and murder 28 teen boys and young men from 1970 to 1973. He eventually shot and killed Coril himself in 1973. Henley is currently serving six consecutive 99-year terms in prison.

Who plays him on the show: Robert Aramayo who many of you may recognize as the young Ned Stark from Game of Thrones.

6.Ed Kemper:

About: He killed six young women in the Santa Cruz, California, area — giving him the moniker “Co-ed Killer” in the press — and also killed several members of his family including his grandparents and mother. He often dismembered and decapitated his victim’s bodies. He was sentenced to eight concurrent life sentences in prison in 1973, which he is currently serving.

Who plays him on the show: Cameron Britton whose other credits include the TV shows The Umbrella Academy and Barry.

7.Charles Manson:

About: Not technically a serial killer himself, Manson was the cult leader of the notorious Manson Family whose followers killed nine people in July and August of 1969. Manson was originally sentenced to death, but that was commuted to life in prison in 1972. He died in prison in 2017.

Who plays him on the show: Damon Herriman who ALSO played Charles Manson in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

8.Tex Watson:

About: He was a central member of the Manson family and helped kill seven people, including all five people in the infamous Tate and the two in the LaBianca murders. Watson was found guilty of seven counts of first-degree murder and is currently serving life in prison.

Who plays him on the show: Christopher Backus whose credits include the TV shows Big Little Lies and Roadies.

9.Paul Bateson:

About: He was convicted of killing a journalist in 1979, although he’s also suspected of killing a number of men in Manhattan, too. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and was released on parole in 2003, his current whereabouts and status are unconfirmed.

Who plays him on the show: Morgan Kelly whose credits include The Shape of Water and the TV show Designated Survivor.

10.Wayne Williams:

About: He was convicted of killing two adults, but is also suspected of being responsibile for the Atlanta Child Murders. He is currently serving two life sentences in Georgia.

Who plays him on the show: Christopher Livingston whose other credits include the film Service to Man and TV show Unforgettable.
