Good Morning Britain guest walks off live on air after knife crime interview

Good Morning Britain viewers were left amused when one guest suddenly walked off set after his interview with hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Faron Alex Paul was discussing what he’s been doing to help get knives off of the street, with there being a recent surge in knife crime.

Faron, a 31-year-old dad, who himself has been stabbed 18 times between two separate occasions, revealed all about his own work.

He told Piers and Susanna how he runs an informal amnesty in London, giving knife carriers the chance to exchange their blades for vouchers.

But he also revealed that many of the people who come to him often don’t even want the vouchers, and instead want to get rid of their knives.

People get in touch with him via Instagram and he meets them for the handover before contacting police.

As his interview on the ITV daytime show came to an end, fans and the hosts were stunned when he abruptly got up and walked off.

Viewers found the moment hilarious, with it possibly one of the swiftest ends to a live interview ever.

But Piers and Susanna praised the moment, telling viewers he “had work to do”.

As they ended the chat and thanked him for appearing, Faron said his goodbyes before jumping up and walking towards the studio doors as the cameras still rolled.

Susanna said: “Okay… he’s off, he’s got work to do,” with Faron waving back and saying goodbye once more.

Piers then added: “He’s got work to do, knives to collect and good luck to him.

"At least he’ making a difference and I applaud that.”

One viewer laughed off the moment saying: “How he just walked off after the interview!”

Faron once confronted an armed gang and confiscated their knives at his niece’s 16th birthday party.

The 31-year-old took it upon himself to kick the boys out of the party when he found one of them carrying a huge "Rambo-style knife".

He then searched the rest of the group and found two more knives before kicking the rest of the partygoers out.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
