Gino D'Acampo sets fire to his spoon on This Morning as he jokes about 'doggy-style sex' while stars get tipsy on wine

He was sipping white wine and chatting to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield while the utensil, which had been left on the stove, started to burn.

Before the fire started, Gino had been eating the traditional carbonara he'd just cooked up for the show's guests.

He was handed a glass of wine and carried on talking until Phil realised what had happened.

Making a joke about the smoke, Phil told the audience: “And Gino has just set his spoon on fire!”

The celebrity chef grinned and waved the spoon around before Holly Willoughby shouted: “Put it out!”

Smoke started to surround Gino before he plunged the water into a saucepan of water and avoided any awkward blunders.

Gino even managed to cut into wine expert, Charles Metcalfe's segment, to announce his mishap.

And to make things even worse, the chef then made a series of bizarre innuendos.

He told Holly and Phil that asking for Pecorino cheese was frowned upon in Italy because it could be mis-pronounced as Percorina, which is the Italian for the 'doggy-style' sex position.

And while fans thought that moment was hilarious, it was Alison Hammond who will go down in history during today’s 30th birthday broadcast.

She was filming live from the Albert Dock in Liverpool and presenting the weather from the famous floating map.

Just before midday, as Alison told viewers what was happening in Ireland, she took a tumble and accidentally pushed her helper Chris into the freezing cold water.

That wasn't the only memorable moment from the episode, as viewers were in stunned when a man proposed live on air.

His sweet romantic gesture will go down in TV history after he slipped the ring onto the wrong hand of his girlfriend.
