Game of Thrones season 8: Sansa Stark WILL get Iron Throne? Arya star drops bombshell

Game of Thrones fans are desperate to know who will end up on the Iron Throne.

And it seems even the cast have their wish-list about who they would like to see sitting on the coveted seat.

According to Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, she wants to see her on-screen sister, Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner) as the Westerosi queen.

The 21-year-old said at the recent show premiere in New York City how Sansa would be an “incredible ruler”.

Maisie told Extra: “And I think that she’s, like, so tue and so honest and she’s, like, learned so much and I think that she’d be an incredible ruler of Westeros.”

The actress went on: “And also, like Sophie’s f***ing beautiful.”

But will Sansa really get the Iron Throne? She has so far been towards the bottom of the pile of contenders.

At the moment, it’s really Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) to lose.

They are both odds-on favourite to take the seat, but they will have to get rid of stiff competition in the form of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) who is the current owner.

And what’s more, they will also have to contend with the threat from the Night King (Vladimir Furdik).

But there might be bad news all round for Daenerys, as she is set to lose another of her beloved dragons.

In season two, she saw a prolific vision which saw her heading the Throne Room in King’s Landing.

Symbolically, she was shown leaving her husband at the time, Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) to be with her dragons.

However, she turned back when she saw her dragons crying.

And now, fans believe this scene will turn out to be true and will be repeated in season eight.

One fan said: “In the season two vision: Daenerys going towards the Throne, but is drawn beyond The Wall – then, in season seven, Dany was going to go attack King’s Landing and take the Throne by force, but she was told Jon and company beyond The Wall needed rescuing.

“[In the] season two vision: Dany hearing the dragon cries – season seven the dragons crying beyond The Wall after Viserion was killed by the Night King.”

Furthermore, fans believe she is pregnant following her sexual encounter with Jon.

But would she put her blood family before her dragons?

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on April 14 on HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 15.
