‘Furious’ Jada Pinkett Smith confesses CPS investigated family over claims she and husband Will starved Willow, then 14 – The Sun

JADA Pinkett Smith revealed on the latest episode of her Red Table Talk show that Child Protective Services investigated her family amid claims they starved daughter Willow when she was 14.

She claimed she was "furious" when CPS paid the family an unexpected visit to probe the false allegations

On the latest episode of the Facebook show, Jada, Willow and Jada's mom, Adrienne Banfield-Jones decided to answer fan questions.

A viewer asked Willow if she's ever defended her parents from rumors and Jada jumped right in to discuss the shocking incident.

Jada said: "Or when someone called Child Protective Services and they said we were starving Willow!"

Willow said the visit happened after actor and family friend Moises Arias posted a photo of himself shirtless in bed with the young Willow.

At the time, Moises was 20 and she was just 14 and some suggested Willow looked too slim.

Jada claimed that although CPS knew Willow and her son Jaden were not being mistreated, the social workers still kept investigating them.

She also spoke about her daughter's attitude towards the social worker: "It was their personal protest. The way they conducted these interviews was literally like: 'What are you doing here?' We were gangster."

"It was the backlash of giving my kids their own individuality."

She also explained that to prove her point, Willow talked to the social workers while eating a bowl of cereal.

Willow further commented about the social worker's visit: "I was looking at the lady the whole time thinking: 'You could be helping so many kids right now, and you're wasting your time with a child who has everything they need.'"

The Smith family was also criticized for allowing her to hang out with an older man in a provocative pose.

Willow said: "They're my brothers. But you know, there was no sexual intonation in that picture whatsoever.

"But I find that other celebrities, females who aren't black, who are younger and who do post things that are way more sexual than that, they don't get any backlash."

Jada then opened up about how she felt at the time.

She said: "That was the first time I've ever felt furious."
"It was one of those blatant moments that you just realize the difference in the races."

Jada previously revealed in September that she and husband Will Smith were worried about their son's health after he became vegan.

The two then held an intervention and told him that they were concerned about his well-being.

Jaden cleared things up by saying he was vegetarian and had previously tried to be vegan, but wasn't at the time.

Will and Jada acknowledged that the 21-year-old looks much healthier now.
