First look at Bethany Platt’s explosive return as she beds her ex in Coronation Street | The Sun

YEARS have passed since Bethany Platt was last seen in the cobbles and she's finally ready to come back home.

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon reprises her role as her ITV alter ego reconnects with an old flame.

Another love triangle is due to take shape in Weatherfield as Bethany Platt rocks up the Street once again, more than three years since her last appearance.

As viewers of the Manchester-based drama will remember, the daughter of Sarah Platt left the cobbles in early March, 2020, as she took on a journalism job in London.

The trainee magazine editor is back with her family in upcoming scenes of the long-running program – and she makes quite the impression on her former love interest, Daniel Osbourne (portrayed by Rob Mallard).

Coming up, as Daniel heads home, his face lights up when he spots Bethany.

Meanwhile, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) urges Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) to go and find Daniel and patch things up with a New Year’s kiss.

But what will she find?

Daniel and Daisy have been going through rough times as he recently discovered she harboured romantic feelings for another man, Ryan Connor.

And while Ryan left Weatherfield for a fresh start with Crystal Hyde, things are far from resolved between Daniel and Daisy.

In later scenes, Daisy tells Jenny about her humiliation at finding Daniel as he already seems to be turning his attention to his old flame Bethany.

Elsewhere, Bethany calls at her mother Sarah’s (Tina O'Brien) flat who is thrilled to see her daughter.

At No.8, a delighted Gail Platt (Helen Worth) suggests they celebrate with a family lunch at Speed Daal.

Across the street, Daisy clocks Bethany and points her out to Jenny.

When Jenny reveals that Daniel slept with Bethany last night, Gail, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Sarah are stunned.

Bethany then comes face to face with Daisy as she calls into the Rovers and sneeringly remarks on how empty it is.
