In tonight’s episode while attending a party for Meena, Laurel was accidentally served alcohol and she took a sip without realising.

Horrified she said: “That’s alcohol. I thought it was mine, it looked like mine. I have to go. It’s been really lovely but I have to go.”

She then disappeared for several hours before returning home to Jai and admitting she was struggling.

“I just had to clear my head and go for a walk,” she said.

“Jai, all that time without a drink. I can handle it. Like you said it’s not like I wanted a drink, is it?”

But later, breaking down in tears, Laurel admitted to Jai she wasn’t coping.

“I’m not OK, I’ve been struggling you know, with the baby,” she said.

“I didn’t really want to say all of this, trying to guilt you or make you think we’d done the wrong thing.

“I’ve been laying awake all night and replaying things in my head. But I’ve been re-writing it and thinking what if we hadn’t had that news, what if we hadn’t made that decision.

“I’d be pregnant now waiting for the first kick. I know that we made the right choice to us. But I just lay awake and feel so empty.

“I didn’t want us to have to talk about it alone. It doesn’t stop me hating it, though, does it? I shouldn’t be saying all this it’s not just fair.”

But while Jai revealed he felt the same and tried to comfort her, fans were worried Laurel had already relapsed during her hours away from home.

One wrote:  "Laurel has just drunk some alcohol. Could she be heading for the relapse.?"

A second said: "Don't get tempted Laurel."

Another added: "I hope Laurel won't be heading back to a relapse. Drinking isn't the answer."
