Diddy arrives at funeral home for tragic ex-girlfriend Kim Porter's wake

Porter, mother of three of rapper Sean Combs' children, died last Thursday at the age of 47.

She will be buried Saturday in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, on Saturday.

Diddy was left “devastated and shocked” by Kim's sudden death.

He paid a heartbreaking tribute saying "I don't know what I'm going to do without you."

Yesterday he arrived at the wake in a dark suit, long dark coat and shades, clutching a pal's hand for support.

He arrived in a limousine to pay his last respects.

Kim's close pal and former model Kimora Lee Simmons was also at the venue, and was seen lighting candles at the front porch of the building.

On Saturday, an elaborate service will be held at the nearby Cascade Hills Church, where singers Mary J Blige and Faith Evans are rumoured to be performing.

The 47-year-old actress was found unresponsive last week at her Los Angeles home and was later pronounced dead after reportedly suffering from flu.

Sean "Puff Diddy" Combs and Porter had the ultimate on-off relationship which was tumultuous to say the least.

This spanned from 1994 until they split for good in 2007 after it transpired Diddy had become daddy to another woman's child.

But the pair remained close and maintained family life with their three children  — Christian, 20, and 11-year-old twin daughters, D'Lila Star and Jessie James.

TMZ reports Kim had been battling an illness, either the flu or pneumonia, over the last few days and was being treated with saline and vitamins.

A source said she had contacted her doctor yesterday complaining she wasn't feeling any better after suffering flu-like symptoms.

Cops say the actress and model had felt unwell and went to bed early on Wednesday night but when family members went to wake her the next morning she was unresponsive.

Many in the hip-hop and musician community were mourning her and offering condolences.

50 Cent tweeted: “R.I.P to Kim Porter, I send my condolences to her friends and family.

"She was loved and will be missed dearly. I know Puff is hit right now, he loved her for real, soulmate type s***. Chin up puff, Positive vibes only.”

Missy Elliott called her death "so heartbreaking," tweeting, "Lord please give her kids & her whole family strength."

Diddy and Kim’s storm force relationship

During one of their breakups, Porter took Diddy to court in 2002 to compel him to pay more child support in what appeared might become an acrimonious legal fight.

But while many ex-couples would avoid each other like the plague, these two couldn’t help but talk before falling back in love.

In 2006 they proudly announced to the world in a video they were expecting twins.

But while Porter was five months’ pregnant with girls D'Lila Star and Jessie James, it emerged Diddy had actually fathered a child born to an Atlanta woman called Sarah Chapman, whom he'd been having an affairw with.

And so not wanting to put up with his cheating, she waited until he went away and moved out, taking everything from the furniture to the cars.

And of course the kids too.

But despite the dramatic departure the bond between the two – and their three children – survived intact and they harboured no ill feeling.

The family continued to celebrate Christmas and New Year together as well as birthdays and other events.

Yet even though they remained close the couple were never to get back together ever again.

Porter also has a 27-year-old son who was largely raised with Diddy, Quincy Brown, from a previous relationship with singer Al B. Sure.

Brown, an actor, appears on the Fox series "Star" and has had a handful of other TV and film roles

In the months and weeks leading to her dead, Porter would post pictures of Diddy and the family on Instagram.

Emergency crews were raced to Porter's home at around midday but paramedics pronounced her dead on arrival.

No illegal drugs were found and authorities are reportedly looking into whether she had contracted a disease following a recent trip to Africa.

Kim was born in Georgia and began her career as a model before moving to Atlanta.

She appeared in TV shows Single Ladies and Wicked Wicked Games as well as movies Mama I Want To Sing and The Brothers.

Kim also featured on Diddy's show I Want to Work for Diddy.
