Corrie’s Daniel Brocklebank flaunts hidden singing talent as pals get goosebumps

Coronation Street actor Daniel Brocklebank showed off his secret singing skills as he treated fans to a song over the weekend.

The star, who plays Billy Mayhew on the ITV soap, also played the piano whilst singing as he impressed pals online.

He performed his own rendition of Grown As We Go by American star Ben Platt giving those online "goosebumps" by his performance.

The 41-year-old actor shared the 4-minute video with his 128k Instagram followers.

Daniel could be seen performing the emotional song from the comfort of his living room and simply added the song title as a caption to the Instagram post.

It wasn’t before long fans and celeb pals were also commenting on the video, including many from the soapworld.

Ex Corrie star Catherine Tyldsley commented: "Oh babe” with several love heart eyes emojis.

Former soap star Hayley Tamaddon and a friend of Daniel added: "Oh Dan.. this is beautiful… so so good my talented friend."

Meanwhile, Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Windass alongside Daniel in the long-running soap simply said: "Goosebumps. Amazing Dan.”

However, it wasn’t just fellow celebs who were complementing the actor’s post many fans flocked to comment on the video.

One wrote: "Oh WOW. So gorgeous.”

Another commented: "Wow, what an amazing voice. The Vicar needs to start leading a choir. I would love to hear you sing more.”

A third complimented the actor and said: "WOW! I never saw that coming. I want more."

Daniel has been in the soap since December 2014, where he has been involved in big storylines such as dating bartender Sean Tully as well as him saying yes to Todd’s marriage proposal.

It comes as fans were shocked over Daniel’s post from last week when he shared an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.

Daniel shared a snap of himself with a massive rip in his jeans exposing his pants underneath.

The actor captioned the picture: "My life summed up in a picture."

Daniel was spotted on-location filming an upcoming funeral scene for Coronation Street.

As it was revealed long-term favourite character Norris Cole had quit the soap earlier this year with cast members filming scenes for his funeral.
