GET your tissues at the ready because Sinead Tinker’s cancer storyline takes another devastating twist in Coronation Street next week.
Along with her husband, Daniel Osbourne, Sinead – who’s played by Katie McGlynn in the ITV soap – visits her oncologist at the hospital.
The newly-married couple are left utterly floored when they’re told that Sinead’s cancer isn’t responding to the treatment and that she only has a few weeks to live.
Sinead and Daniel are left in a state of shock but Sinead is insistent that they should still go to Ken’s 80th birthday party.
After breaking their news to friends and family, Sinead and Daniel head back to the flat.
Sinead tells Daniel – Rob Mallard – that she’s sorry she’s leaving him but she knows that their baby son Bertie will be in good hands.
Daniel finally breaks down in tears as the realisation he’s losing his wife hits him.
It was revealed last week that Sinead’s mum, Arlene, would make a cobbles comeback for her daughter’s death.
Actress Lisa George – who plays Sinead’s aunt, Beth Tinker – posted a picture of herself alongside Alison Burrows who plays Arlene.
She captioned the Instagram post: "Always a pleasure working with my onscreen sis and our Sinead's mum, Arlene Tinker AKA Alison Burrows."
Arlene Tinker originally arrived on the street in 2015 to celebrate the wedding of her sister Beth and her then-fiance Kirk Sutherland.
She disapproved of the match and proceeded to cause trouble as she openly flirted with Underworld boss Dev Alahan at the reception.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Sinead will die moments after finding out her husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) has cheated on her with waitress Bethany Platt.
A source revealed: "Sinead wants to do everything she can to make her death easier on Daniel so he can best support Bertie.
"She's going to be devastated when she finds out what he did with Bethany and really struggle to get through it knowing she only has a limited time left.
"Daniel has put her through a terrible ordeal by normal standards but with only weeks left to live it's the worst thing he could have done to her."
