Gina – played by Connie Hyde in the ITV soap – will be seen dipping her toes into the world of online dating in a bid to prove to brother-in-law Tim Metcalfe that she isn’t secretly harbouring feelings for him.
She arranges to meet up with a man called Ian and is stunned when Ian turns out to be Duncan.
They head for dinner and Gina reveals she’s Sally’s sister and knows exactly who her dinner date is.
But scheming Duncan in unfazed and tells Gina all about his fictitious affair with Sally and how she made him defraud the council. But will Gina be taken in by his lies?
Meanwhile Sally’s lawyer Paula Cunliffe assures girlfriend Sophie Webster that things are looking up for her mum now they’ve found evidence of Duncan’s offshore bank account.
Will Sally be released from prison?
Corrie fans know that Sally – played by Sally Dynevor – is completely innocent of any wrongdoing and has been totally stitched up like a kipper by Duncan.
Moved by the story he told her about his wife suffering a stroke, Sally decided to give Duncan a £40k charity handout while she was Mayor of Weatherfield.
But sneaky Duncan pocketed the funds instead and disappeared, leaving Sally in the lurch. When the police finally caught up with him, he told them that he and Sally had been lovers and she was behind the fraud.
Sally was arrested and thrown into prison in August after trying to contact a witness in the case.
