Celebrity Big Brother's Ben Jardine has no regrets about what happened between him and Roxanne Pallett

Celebrity Big Brother‘s last couple of days have been all about the incident between Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallet and Coronation Street‘s Ryan Thomas, where she accused him of punching her while play fighting her and made a complaint to Big Brother.

Since then, Ben Jardine, Married at First Sight star and Roxanne’s closest ally in the house, has been evicted from the house, and Roxanne left shortly afterwards too.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media outlets following his eviction, Ben said he was still getting his head around the whole situation after seeing the footage (he also didn’t know Roxanne had left until speaking to the press), but does not regret his behaviour.

He said: “All my life, people have always said, ‘Calm down Ben, calm down’. She just said, ‘Keep going Ben’. I think she brought the best out of me. I learned a lot about myself.

“At the end of the day, I tried to handle the situation as a gentleman. I can’t help who I am, I wear my heart on my sleeve. When you see someone’s eyes, you look in someone’s eyes… As I said last night, I looked into her eyes and I saw myself staring back at me.”

Echoing what he said to Emma Willis last night, Ben added that: “I do feel like I got played a little bit and I’m feeling a little bit upset about that.

“But at the same time, I’m glad I handled the situation the way I did, and hopefully on tonight’s episode you’ll see that I took it all on board.”

Multiple famous faces, including Nicola McLean on Bit on the Side, and a lot of soap stars on social media have criticised Roxanne for “manipulating” events and using “domestic violence” for a “storyline”.

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight (September 1) at 10pm.
