Black Eyed Peas' first album in eight years Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 flops and may not enter UK albums chart top 40

Their first collection in eight years, Masters of the Sun Vol. 1, has disappointed since its launch here on Friday and now looks set to fail to make even the top 40 in Friday's albums chart.

The record, which has not even been released physically because of fears over its performance, is the band’s first without front woman Fergie.

They insist she has not left the group despite her being missing from the album. The band, now made up of Will.I.Am, APL.DE.AP and Taboo, enlisted pals Nas and Nicole Scherzinger for the collection but even that has not helped it make an impact.

A music industry insider said: “Ten years ago the Black Eyed Peas were one of the biggest bands in the world — but these latest sales figures are absolutely disastrous.

“The band waited eight years to release an album which has been expensive to make and completely hasn’t connected with audiences.

“There is no chance of it being anywhere near the Top 20, which is a real fall from grace given their success in the past. The sales figures aren’t looking good at all and the group’s tour isn’t performing well either.

“They were even forced to give away tickets for their show at London’s Eventim Apollo on Sunday evening, just to fill seats.”

Ye raps politics role

Kanye West appears to be a little tired of politics, just weeks after visiting the White House.

The outspoken rapper, who now wants to be referred to as Ye, has decided to pull out of plans to run for US President in 2024 and has distanced himself from US President Donald Trump.

He wrote on Twitter: “My eyes are now wide open and I now realise I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative.”

Ye’s dramatic decision comes after he was linked to a campaign known as Blexit, which saw Conservative commentator Candace Owens encourage Black Americans to quit the Democratic Party.

She claimed the musician had designed clothing for her campaign, something Ye has denied.

Ye added: “I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it.”

He’s finally had that light- bulb moment we were all waiting for.

Kylie must Bey a real Barbie doll

Without the box it would be hard to know Kylie Jenner is dressed up for Halloween.

The surgery-enhanced reality star shared snaps of her in costume as Barbie – after nicking the idea from Beyonce.

The megastar recreated the Barbie in a box look back in 2016, also posing for shots with husband Jay Z as Ken, and their daughter Blue Ivy.

At least Kylie won’t have given anyone an unexpected fright.

An X-tremely Chic stand-in

The Chic legend will join the panel for the evening while the Rock DJ singer flies to Chile for the next leg of his Heavy Entertainment Show tour.

Nile previously helped out 1D’s Louis Tomlinson with his category at Judges’ Houses, but this time he will be championing Robbie’s acts for the results show on Sunday.

During his incredible near 50-year career, Nile has been responsible for producing hits including Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, Madonna’s Like A Virgin and David Bowie’s Heroes.

Bosses will pre-record Saturday’s show so it will feature Robbie, but he will miss the following two weekends as his tour continues across South America.

It has not yet been revealed who will fill in for the singer on subsequent weeks.

I reckon they could do a lot worse than Nile.

Hailey just turned up the heat

Justin Bieber's red-hot reaction to his wife Hailey Baldwin wouldn’t go down well in his Bible study class.

The church-going pop star couldn’t contain his desire for the model when he saw her in this sexy silver dress for her new Pretty Little Thing campaign, writing underneath the post: “Holy crap this is hot.”

Perhaps all that heat is what prompted Justin to shave his head, which he debuted on Instagram – despite vowing never cut his hair again and wanting to “grow it to his toes”.

I bet Hailey is glad that he changed his mind.

Spectres for Sam

People around the world may have been celebrating Halloween, but every day is a scream for Sam Smith.

The singer, who sang the theme tune for Bond film Spectre, has told how he believes his home in North London is haunted with ghouls who keep him awake.

Speaking on Beats 1, he said: “This whole building was an old school. I think this was the nun’s quarters, haunted for sure.

“I hear s***, every night. I hear people walking up the stairs. And my sister feels – it’s pretty weird – where my sister sleeps she says she can feel someone watching her sometimes.”

No wonder Sam spends so much time away on tour.

Greg's three-day hangover

In an exclusive interview, Greg, who took over the Radio 1 Breakfast Show from Nick Grimshaw in August, said: “I have a weekday booze ban but I don’t work Fridays, so my Thursday nights… I’m always f***ed on a Thursday but I’m not on until Monday so I can have a three-day hangover.

“It’s important to live your life then tell your listeners all about it.”

It’s great he’s found a way of fitting in a weekly pint or ten.

Ariana Grande fell and injured her hand running away from a mummy in a Halloween special for James Corden’s Late Late Show.

The pair tackled a spooky Escape Room in the sketch, available to watch online, when she tripped.
