Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner finally officially divorced

The former couple – who tied the knot in 2005 – dissolved their marriage this Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The pair split after ten years in 2015 but left things on good terms, and will now co-parent Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six.

According to TMZ, Ben and Jen hired a private judge to sign off on the divorce, and they submitted all their papers to an L.A. County Superior Court judge last week.

It would usually take several weeks – or longer – to get the divorce finalised, but the stars managed to speed up the process.

The former couple have also vowed to see a co-parenting therapist for a minimum of six months, in order to keep things amicable.

Ben and Jen opted against legal representation and settled the split with celebrity mediator Laura Wasser.

They didn't have prenup, but agreed on a fair split of their assets.

Affleck and Garner postponed their divorce for two years, and remained on good terms after the break-up for the sake of their kids.

Jen has even been supporting the Batman actor through his alcohol addiction battle, and was pictured driving Ben to rehab in August after begging him to get help.

When discussing his demons for the first time, the Argo star paid tribute to his former partner and thanked her for standing by him.

He said in a statement: "I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do."

It has since been revealed the actress has moved on with businessman John Miller, who she's been dating for six months.

Meanwhile Ben ended his fling with Shauna Sexton, 22, last month, in order to focus on his family and sobriety.
