Naga Munchetty joked that her co-star was ruining the view live on BBC Breakfast.

The BBC presenter was hosting the early breakfast show alongside her regular co-host Charlie Stayt on Thursday (May 19) when the pair took to discussing the upcoming Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

However, things took a heated turn when Naga decided to take a savage camera swipe at weather star Matt Taylor in quipping he should have "stepped out of the camera" to improve the view.

Naga and Charlie showed viewers live footage of the new Union Jack flag bunting that had been put up on Regent Street in London, which is the home of the BBC's headquarters.

She showed her excitement at the new flag decorations before the cameras transitioned into a countryside scene, where meteorologist Matt was waiting patiently in shot.

Introducing the view, Naga said: "If you wanted a contrast from the busy city to some tranquility, then let's go to…"

But she decided to take a cheeky shot at her colleague as she said: "Well, if Matt stepped out of the camera shot we would have had some peace".

Both Naga and Matt burst out laughing as the weather star replied: "The view would be much better."

Naga teased: "It would," before Matt added: "But it would be equally tranquil."
