Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nick Viall have a bit of a history. Before Bristowe starred as the bachelorette, she and Viall had a “two-week FaceTime love affair,” as described by Viall on The Viall Files. When Viall joined Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette, he thought he had a pretty good chance of winning Bristowe’s final rose. As Bachelor Nation isn’t soon to forget, the bachelorette named Shawn Booth the winner of her season. The couple got engaged and was together for three years.
During those three years, Bristowe and Viall didn’t speak to one another. Bristowe made plenty of jabs and jokes at Viall’s expense in the press but, other than that, the two had completely severed their relationship. When Bristowe was a guest on The Viall Files, she told her season runner-up that the silence and the jabs were all an effort to protect her relationship with Booth.
Today, Bristowe and Viall have called a truce. And they were guests on each others podcasts to prove it.
Bachelor Nation loves seeing Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nick Viall reunited
As Viall and Bristowe reminisced about their former flirtation and their time on The Bachelorette together, The Viall File viewers (there’s a video of the interview on YouTube) couldn’t help but notice that some of the chemistry the two shared during the show is still there.
“I can see why an insecure guy wouldn’t want Kaitlyn anywhere near Nick. And why he would need her to talk shit about him to feel secure. These two have some serious chemistry!” commented one fan (Bristowe and Viall discussed the feelings of jealousy and insecurity Booth felt after winning The Bachelorette).
“I always loved the connection those two had. They have the best chemistry. I was SO bummed when she picked Shawn,” commented another.
“Loved this episode! This is the most vulnerable Nick has sounded. I feel like Kaitlyn is his lobster – love that they have a song to remind them of the connection. Also loved the bit where he said she will continue to shine so bright :)” wrote another YouTube user.
Some fans are just excited that Bristowe and Viall are friends again.
“I listened to this podcast earlier and I caught myself smiling at work while listening. Your friendship clearly is something weirdly special. I am glad you two made amends and cleared the air. Hopefully double dates in the future? I’m just happy you guys are friends as an outsider looking in,” commented one person.
And one fan thinks if Jason Tartick doesn’t work out for Bristowe that she should give Viall a call.
“Yesssssss Finally ! I quite enjoyed this one. It’s great to see you finally reconnect. Your connection/chemistry is undeniable. I really like Jason but if things don’t work out it’s never too late to rekindle something y’know ;)” they wrote.
