AJ Pritchard said he'll 'think twice' when approached by fans after he's been left 'shaken up' by horror beating

AJ Pritchard said he'll "think twice" when approached by fans after being left "shaken up" by his horror nightclub beating.

The Strictly professional dancer was set upon by a group of eight thugs who attacked him and his brother Curtis.

He told Lorraine: "It's shaken up the family, that's for sure. I'll be thinking twice when someone approaches me now."

AJ spoke out about the violent attack at Nakatcha nightclub in Nantwich, Cheshire on December 27.

The 24-year-old believes they may have been targeted over jealousy.

He added: "It was senseless violence in my hometown.

"It's a sad situation, but we're both OK now."

Curtis – who is a professional dancer on Ireland's Dancing With The Stars – was left unconscious after throwing himself in front of AJ to protect him.

He has since had surgery on his knee and been forced to pull out of his show, which launches this month.

Meanwhile AJ will go ahead with the Strictly tour, but admits he's "scared and anxious" about it.

He has hired bodyguards to protect him, but joked his former partner Lauren Steadman could be up to the job.

Telling Lorraine they're starting to rehearse together for the tour on Monday, AJ added: "There is security on the tour, but Lauren can be my bodyguard. I wouldn't want to ge tin her way.

"You should see her in the studio, she is very focused."
