Ackley Bridge puts Kaneez Paracha and Rashid Hyatt’s fledgling romance to the test in next week’s episode, and Digital Spy has a sneak preview just for you.
In the clip below, Rashid’s (Tony Jayawardena) driving tutorial for Kaneez (Sunetra Sarker) takes an awkward turn when he asks her to come along as his date for his school reunion.
It turns out that Kaneez is only interested in learning how to drive — and getting the odd grammar tip — from Rashid, so she encourages him to take Emma Keane (Liz White) to his reunion instead.
“I’m not having a relationship with Emma,” he complains, with Kaneez shutting him down: “You’re not having one with me too!”
A crushed Rashid could only fight back tears while correcting her: “It’s, ‘You’re not having one with me, either‘. But thanks for that! It’s the closest you’ve come to giving me a definitive answer to where I stand in your life.”
You’ll have to tune in next week to see if Kaneez has a change of heart, but we can reveal that the situation gets more complicated when Rashid’s old flame Meesha (Maya Soraya) resurfaces.
Also on next week’s episode, Naveed Haider’s (Gurjeet Singh) dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian may be dashed forever when his mother discovers that he’s been living a double life.
