A BACKPACK traveller has admitted that wearing her special sleep mask gave her the best sleep she's ever had while travelling.
Joey Hadden is a travel reporter based in the US and she has revealed that her weighted sleep mask is key to getting a good night's sleep while travelling.
Costing £28 the NodPod weighted sleeping mask is advertised as "a hug for your head".
Joey says that this sleeping mask will help those who have a hard time sleeping on "planes and cruises".
Joey used her NodPod on her most recent overnight train journey.
She said: "I packed a sleep mask for the first time because although cabin windows have curtains, I've found that light often comes through them when the train stops at or passes by platforms with street lamps.

"The $34 mask is filled with beads, and, similar to a weighted blanket, it calms me."
Joey added: "I use the NodPod every night at home to block out light, so wearing it during my travels almost made me feel like I was in my own bed."
This sleeping mask according to NodPod has special features as the user will start to feel the weight of the mask sink in after three minutes of wearing it.
It can also be worn by people who sleep on their side – with the same effects.

Joey has around 120 hours on overnight trains in Europe and the US and has found that earplugs are also a beneficial item to have with you while travelling.
She said: "It might sound obvious but a pair of earplugs is a necessity, as I realized after hardly sleeping on my first overnight train ride.
"I couldn't get used to the constant hum and vibration of the moving train. And I could hear every footstep of passersby in my cabin.
She later added: "I'm not particular when it comes to the type of earplugs I pack, and have used both provided ones and my own that I pick up from the drugstore for a few dollars."
But it seems Joey's most essential item was her NodPod sleep mask.
She said: "The NodPod paired with earplugs helped me get the best sleep I've ever had on an overnight train.
"It didn't hurt that I was travelling on a luxury train with comfortable bedding, but I'll still never ride the rails without them again."
Joey added: "And I'd recommend these not only for trains but for your other travels as well — especially if you're like me and have a hard time sleeping on planes and cruises."
The NodPod sleeping masks have received hundreds of glowing reviews.
One happy customer wrote: "I never thought I’d grow ATTACHED to my Nodpod yet here we are.
"I love it and cannot sleep without it."
Adding: "It’s the perfect amount of pressure on my eyes and makes me feel super cosy."
While another person said: "I didn't know this would actually work as well as it does.
