Benidorm just opened one of the world’s biggest water slides and it looks epic

Thrill-seekers may want to consider a holiday in Benidorm this summer, as the Spanish resort has just become home to one of the world's largest water slides!

Water park Aqualandia has opened new slide Cyclon, which features heaps of drops, bends and falls, with the ride culminating in a 'zero gravity' type vortex before you land in the final pool.

Oh, and with a height of 36 metres and a length of 200 metres, it's one of the largest water slides in the world.

Riders can reach speeds of up to 60 km/h as they make their way down the twists and turns, before landing in the vortex which measures 20m in diameter and has a 45 degrees inclination.

There's an extra bonus for families too as the rafts seat up to four people, meaning you can take on the attraction together.

It's not the only adrenaline-inducing offering at the park though.

Aqualandia is also home to Europe's highest standing slide and the world's highest capsule slide so there's plenty to explore.

Of course if you're more of a 'lazy river' kind of person, there are plenty of alternatives at the park you can enjoy while the others take on Cyclon.

In fact, the water park has fifteen water rides ranging from 'infantile' to 'radical' – and to put it into perspective, Cyclon is classed as a 'moderate' attraction.

Adding it to your itinerary? Tickets to Aqualandia start from €26 per person.
