There’s a very tantalising deal for some very lucky Windows 10 users.
A UK retailer is currently offering the chance to pick up a new Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 for just £8.79 – that’s a whopping 99 per cent off the usual price.
Currys says that this incredible deal will be open to 10 lucky fans, with anyone who has just collected their A level results able to apply.
The Windows 10-powered Surface Laptop 2 features 13.5-inch Quad HD display, Intel Core i5 Processor and 128 GB storage.
There’s also a very impressive 14.5 hours of battery life and it’s ultra-slim design weighs in at just 1.25 kg.
Speaking about the deal James Tyne, Category Manager for Laptops, at Currys PC World, said: “We are delighted to be able to help students celebrate their A level results this year.
“By reducing the Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 to just £8.79, 10 lucky students will now be able to set themselves up ahead of enrolling in university in September. We also have student savings across all surface devices for those who missed out on the deal but are still preparing to go to university.”

The deal runs from now until Thursday 22nd August and, if selected, 10 students will be sent a code which they can take into a Currys PC World store of their choice to make the transaction.
If you’re not lucky enough to be chosen then there’s still some good bargains to be grabbed with Currys PC World also holding student deals to cover 10% off all Surface devices including Surface headphones.
There will also be 10% off the Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 and Microsoft Book 2 laptop from August 14.
It’s worth noting that Microsoft isn’t the only firm offering back to school discounts.
Apple is currently cutting the cost of Macs and iPads for students with some deals reducing prices by as much as £270.
There’s also the chance to get some free Beats headphones when you buy one of these devices and Apple has six months free Apple Music for students.
