Spotify ‘No Healthy Upstream’ error hits web player users – How to fix it?

Update 2 – 11.30PM BST – Almost 12 hours after originally posting and the problems for Spotify have returned. There's currently a massive spike in reports of users experiencing connection problems with the service.

Again we'll hope that this intermittent issue is solved in the next 10-15 minutes just like this morning.

Update 1 – Almost immediately after posting, Spotify Web Player service returned to normal, leaving me to binge on all sorts of unspeakably loud music. Thankfully whatever issues Spotify was having, were quickly resolved.

A good thing too, because we can't see any support pages from Spotify that explain what to do when encountering a 'No Healthy Upstream' error message.

Original Story Follows – Spotify appears to be having some difficulties today, with numerous reports of Web Player users seeing a 'No Healthy Upstream' error when attempting to access the music site.

We've also encountered the error this morning, which returns a blank page with just the error message displayed.

At the time of writing, it doesn't appear as though there is any quick fix for the issue, which looks to be on Spotify's end.

However, it seems the error only impacts users who are attempting to access Spotify through the sites Web Player.

Users report that Spotify should still be working through the dedicated laptop desktop app, mobile app or third-party applications such as on PS4 and Xbox One.
