Samsung Galaxy S11 images appear online as leaks reveal huge camera upgrade

Rumours have started to swirl about Samsung’s next flagship smartphone and the potentially massive camera upgrade it will arrive with.

If Samsung stays true to form, the Samsung Galaxy S11 will see the light of day sometime around late February and will look to challenge the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The best way, apparently, to do that is with a stonking great camera upgrade. Tech experts are predicting the S11 will arrive with a huge ‘108-megapixel’ primary camera and the possibility of 5x optical zoom. For comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro boasts a 12-megapixel camera and 2x optical zoom.

Gadget leaker Steve McFly has even developed renders of the forthcoming Galaxy S11 based on information gleaned from top secret sources across the web.

According to 91Mobiles.com, Samsung will unveil three versions of the phone: a standard S11, a larger S11 Pro and a more affordable S11e. The approximate screen sizes for the three models would be 6.7-inches, 6.9-inches and 6.3-inches respectively.

As with this year’s S10, the S11 won’t have a notch, but instead will feature a ‘punch-hole’ camera that’s embedded into the screen itself.

And rumours are also spreading that the screen will have a whopping 120Hz refresh rate which will make it look amazingly smooth while navigating in and out of apps or across submenus.

There’s no concrete information on pricing or a release date yet, but we expect more leaks to come in the following months over what Samsung has in store.
