Inventor builds computer out of pasta – and it actually works

It’s a staple food in many of our diets, and now pasta has been used in a rather unusual way.

Laplanet Arts, a designer based in Massachusetts, has made a computer out of pasta, and surprisingly it actually works.

The inventor posted a video of the ‘Pasta PC’ on YouTube , revealing the design and build process.

He said: “It’s going to be exactly as it sounds, we’re going to build an entire PC out of pasta.”

The computer is based on the hardware from an old Asus Transformer convertible tablet, which Laplanet Arts stripped out, before building a new case out of pasta.

While the build is pretty impressive, rather disappointingly, what appears to be tomato sauce and cheese, is actually painted glue.

And when Laplanet Arts finally connects the computer to the TV, it struggles to actually carry out many processes (beyond a quick game emulating a Game Boy Advance), given its aged specs.

Regardless, we applaud Laplanet Arts’ efforts, which go to show that if you put your mind to it, anything is pastable (sorry).
