Samsung’s all-new Galaxy S21 range went on sale late last month with these new smartphones offering improved photography, a better display and more power under the hood. The Korean tech firm also refreshed its design on this new range of phones with the Contour Cut Camera design now seamlessly blending into the rear case making look a little more appealing than the bulbous camera bump found on previous devices.

All of these upgrades certainly seem to have gone down well with consumers with the Korean firm revealing that its seen record numbers of pre-orders for its new flagship range in the UK. In fact, the uptake has been so good the S21 has beaten both the Galaxy S20 and S10 Series when it comes to pre-orders.

Interestingly, it’s the most expensive Galaxy S21 Ultra that seems to have got fans most excited.

This device arrives with a giant 6.8-inch screen which is fully compatible with the S Pen stylus.

There’s also an improved quad rear camera with 100X Space Zoom and there’s the option to shoot in 4K across all four lenses which gives users more options when producing their home movies.

Samsung unveil the new Galaxy S21 Ultra

Samsung says that across the latest S21 5G Series, this more premium phone has proven to be the most popular model for UK pre-order, accounting for over half of sales.

“Over the last twelve months, technology has been the vital thread that has maintained our connections. Demand for innovation is growing, and this is reflected in the pre-order results we have seen across our Galaxy S21 5G Series, as well as devices within our wider ecosystem such as our Galaxy Book Flex2 5G laptop and our Galaxy Buds Pro headphones which are already receiving industry accolades” said Conor Pierce, Corporate Vice President for Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland.

“This year we have delivered innovation in spades with our flagship range which, for the first time, is powered by 5G throughout and comes with industry-leading cameras, display and battery. And for those who want the latest in functionality, we have introduced our much-loved S-Pen to the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G as the ultimate assistant in creativity and productivity.”

If you want to know more about the S21 then you can check out our full review here but in summary, we said: “There’s no question the S21 is a very solid smartphone. Samsung’s new flagship has everything most people will ever want, including that great 120Hz high refresh-rate OLED display, powerful performance from a 5nm chipset, and decent battery life.

“The camera will also take perfect snaps for the family album and the fact you now get 5G without having to pay a premium is a big added bonus.

“The fact that it now costs £769 is also a smart move from Samsung as it makes it cheaper than last year’s S20 and also undercuts the iPhone 12, which starts from £799.”
