Forza Horizon 5: Where to find this week’s treasure chest

Released for Xbox just this week, Forza Horizon 5 has taken the world by storm.

With a record-breaking 4.5 million players already, it's shaping up to be one of the biggest hits for Microsoft's new Series X | S consoles so far.

One amazing feature of the game is its seasonal shifts, where the whole world map changes between winter, spring, summer and autumn, just like Fortnite or Warzone.

As part of these 'seasons', new races and challenges are constantly added to the game, including weekly treasure hunts.

These treasure hunts hide wooden chests in the game's sprawling Mexican landscape.

Eagle-eyed players must select the right car and then complete a challenge, which makes a chest appear.

Then, you have to find the chest in a designated area, which is a lot harder than it sounds.

If you find the chest and drive through it, you'll get some unique in-game items or currency as a reward.

This week's treasure chest hunt is the New Heights challenge.

  • South Korean capital Seoul will become world's first 'metaverse' city

To unlock it, you must first score two stars on the 'danger' sign using one of the starter cars, the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray 2020.

This is a jump stunt challenge at the 'Heights of Mulege'.

You'll need to go at it with some serious speed to pull it off.

  • Inside Elon Musk's incredible wealth – 75p a day budget to pockets filled with emeralds

Once you've done that, you will have to search the red area on the map above for the chest.

Instead of driving around in circles, just head straight for the center of the red ring.

You will find the chest on the north side of the crop growing / air hangar-type buildings just next to a large cactus.

Drive through it to get 5,000 credits—and spend them wisely!
