EE customers will soon see some of the biggest changes in years with the UK network announcing a full revamp of its popular Pay Monthly and SIM-only plans. The newly announced upgrade includes an easier way to pick the right smartphone plan along with more benefits including full access to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass.

Epic new EE 5G SIM-only deal with 150GB of data

EE is offering a SIM with 150GB of data for £20 per month. This deal includes full access to 5G, enabling users with a 5G-compatible handset to download at speeds in excess of 300Mbps. That’s four times faster than the average UK home broadband speed!

EE is also boasting that it’s the first UK network to offer Apple’s One Individual Plan – which includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ storage – as part of one of its monthly packages.

The firm will begin offering three new plans, which include Essentials, All Rounder and Full Works options, later this month and will be available to all new and existing customers.

The entry-level “Essentials” option comes with 100Mbps maximum download speeds and access to Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple News+ free for six months.

Switch to the “All Rounder” plan and there are added benefits such as faster downloads and one of EE’s Smart Benefits which includes bonuses like that new Xbox option as well free data roaming or Apple Music playback.

Apple reveals new ‘affordable’ iPhone SE

Finally, there’s the ultimate Full Works plan which features EE’s best downloads and added extras for both iPhone and Android users.

Those with an iPhone in their pocket will get access to that One Individual Plan from Apple whilst Android users can grab three Smart Benefits to use each month.

As well as announcing these new plans and upgrades EE has also revealed that it is launching something called WiFi Coverage Boost which gives users instant access to 150,000 securely encrypted BT WiFi hotspots across the UK.

This will be available to all new and existing pay monthly and pay-as-you-go mobile customers.

Speaking about the changes, Sharon Meadows, Director of Propositions, EE said: “As part our journey to become the most personal customer-focussed technology brand in the UK, we continually look for ways to make our great value plans and the network experience we offer as compelling as possible.

“Already the UK’s most reliable network, we’re extending coverage for all customers with WiFi Coverage Boost, delivering amazing content with the Apple One Individual Plan in the Full Works package, and providing market-leading support by extending our Device Care Extras to connected laptops, tablets and watches. We’re also continuing to evolve our position as number one network for families, with our new multi-sim discount, helping them stay connected in more places for less.”
