Karina was born in 1973 in Argentina and studied pharmacy at the City’s National University.

The couple first met in 1991 in a nightclub when Mauricio was out celebrating his triumphant score for Newell’s Old Boys – an Argentine sports club.

Mauricio famously banned his wife from attending matches at White Heart Lane in 2017 due to his superstitions she may jinx their winning streak.

Karina instead watched the games at home, but that didn’t stop her from having her say.

Mauricio said in an interview: “When I arrive home she has been watching on TV and says why this or why that? She always gives an opinion — but always after, never before!”

How many children do Mauricio and Karina have?

The pair have two sons together, Maurizio and Sebastiano Pochettino.

Maurizio was born in Barcelona on March 30, 2001.

He decided to follow in his father’s step and is a professional football player.

The young talent joined the academy of Southampton during his father’s managerial career at the club and then moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2015.

He signed a professional contract with the club in 2019 joining their under-23 side.

He has also played for Watford and now plays for Primera Federación club Gimnàstic de Tarragona.

Sebastiano was born on January 24, 1995.

He opted for a life away from competitive football and instead studied European Baccalaureate of Sciences at St Paul's School in Barcelona.

After earning his bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science from Solent University and his master's degree in science from Université Paris-Saclay, Sebastiano as a first team fitness coach at Paris Saint-Germain.
