US racing tips: Templegate's best bets for the meeting at Tampa Bay Downs on Sky Sports Racing on Saturday

TAMPA BAY DOWNS

5.15

NAGINI took a step forward when finishing third over a mile on this turf track last time out. She had to come out wide which didn’t help before coming home with a decent rattle. It wouldn’t take much more to get off the mark.

Pact and Dakota Beach had a decent battle when second and third here over course and distance last month. The latter was below that level last time but they should be on the premises again.

5.45

MALICED looks the one to beat after a close-up second over course and distance last time out. She got little luck in running and did well to keep going after a big bump turning for home.

Daresca has been forced wide at crucial times on her past two runs and switches back to her favoured dirt track here after a sixth on the grass latest.

Globalprincesscoco is inconsistent but showed here best when going close here three runs ago. That was over this trip so she can’t be ruled out.

TRACY ANN’S LEGACY has been very consistent over the past couple of seasons with five wins from her past 12 starts. There have been a further six placed efforts too so she should hit the frame again at least. Staying over this distance looks a very wise move as she was impressive when scoring over it last time.

A few of these chased her home that day but Pins And Needles got closest and should have more to offer on just her fifth start.

Sweetly Maid was a decent third here last time and can winning form at the track.

6.45

BUFFALO MAX got the better of Three Olivez here last tie and the step up to seven furlongs looks a wise move for a horse who shapes like further will suit. It’s still early days and there should be plenty of improvement to come.

Poznan has been knocking on the door and was beaten in a driving finish over course and distance last time. This is a similar contest and he’ll be right there again.

7.15

DANCERONTHEBEACH has yet to be out of the frame on his three runs and put in another excellent effort when second over slightly further here last time. He hit the front before just being run down up the straight. This is a slightly easier assignment so another big run is expected.

Cloudbased makes his Tampa debut having run in much stronger contests at Saratoga and Belmont as a two-year-old. This should be much more his level.

Cask is another having his sights lowered and he has more to offer with his Tampa debut under his belt.

7.45

LAST PROMISE has a wide draw but comes here on the back of a convincing win over course and distance last time out. He moved across there too and won with plenty in hand. That was his sixth win from 11 runs at Tampa so he clearly loves the place.

Malio’s is another who won well last time and has two wins and a place to his name so far this season. This trip is ideal and he’ll be right there again.

Yabba Dabba Dude had more than five lengths in hand when scoring here at sprint level and will be a threat if getting home.

8.15

ON A SPREE has not done a lot wrong last season. He got the better of Juan Pablo when they met last time out in February on the back of good first and second placed efforts. He is at home over this distance and handles this turf track really well.

Juan Pablo could be his main rival again after showing improved form to finish second here last time.

Small Hope has bits and pieces of form around here and was rarely out of the frame last season. He would be a threat if recapturing that level of performance.

8.45

GETTINTOMISCHIEF has been well backed for his past two runs and gone well without getting his head in front. He was unlucky in running last time and didn’t seem to get home over the 7f trip. He is back in distance here in what looks a very winnable race.

C’Era Una Volta was fifth in a much better contest than this at Gulfstream last time coming back from a break. He’s had another rest since then and can return to his best over an ideal distance.

Credit Cycle won well here two starts ago before a good second 20 days ago. He will be in the mix again.

ASTROTURF was an excellent second on his racecourse debut at Gulfstream in February. He enjoyed the turf track and saw out this mile really well. This is a lesser contest and he has been working well in the run-up.

US Army Corps has yet to hit the frame in his three runs but he’s shown lots of promise and was fifth in a hot race at Aquaduct last time. He’s had a break since then but should run well.
