Utd second favourites to land Mbappe

Unsettled PSG legend Kylian Mbappe is tipped to join Real Madrid by NEXT summer – with Manchester United second favourites and Arsenal not out of the running.

That's according to the odds from bettingsites.co.uk, who rate a switch to Saudi Arabia at 10/1.

The France striker, 24, is also just 4/1 to stay at PSG.

    Credit: Getty

Neil Roarty, of bettingsites.co.uk, said: “The uncertainty surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s future has been raging on for some time and we’re still not much closer to knowing where his long-term future lies.

“It now appears Manchester United could swoop in for the Frenchman if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani's takeover of the club goes through, which is why we make them 3/1 to be the club that Mbappe will be representing come the end of next summer’s transfer window.

“Real Madrid have long been linked with a move for Mbappe for years, which is why we make them the 2/1 favourites, while he could well stick around at PSG for the foreseeable future and they are 3/1 in the betting.”

    Mbappe's club on September 1 2024 – odds:

    Real Madrid 2/1
    Man Utd 3/1
    PSG 4/1

    'Chelsea should have kept Mount'

Ex-Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has already decided Mason Mount should have stayed at Chelsea.

England midfielder Mount now has a thigh injury after struggling in his first two United games.

Petit told BettingSites.co.uk why he reckons the creator, 24, was wrong to move this summer.

I was very frustrated Mason Mount asked to leave Chelsea. We could feel his frustration for months last season. He was injured for a while and he didn't play too many games towards the end.
His contract issues had been really poorly managed by the club. I think he is suffering from last season right now and the fact that he signed for Manchester United means he is under huge pressure.
He has been struggling in midfield and Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount is not working at all at the moment. Maybe it will work in the future but at the moment it's not working at all.
With all the money that Chelsea have spent in the last eighteen months they are not able to give a proper respectful contract to one of their homegrown English players?

Kudus reckons he's played his last game for Ajax

West Ham target Mohammed Kudus admits he has played his final game for Ajax.

The Hammers had two bids rejected by the Dutch giants before submitting a third offer of £35m plus £2.5m in add-ons on a five-year deal earlier this week.

The Irons are awaiting a response, but the expectation is that Ajax will accept the offer, despite it being below their initial £44m valuation.

Ghanaian midfielder Kudus scored a stunning hat-trick in what could be his last appearance for the club last night – a 4-1 victory away at Ludogorets in a Europa League qualifier.

And when asked if he has played his last game for Ajax, he said: “Yes I think so, but we will see what happens in the next days.

“I don’t have control of everything but we will see in the next days what will happen. Talks are going on so we will see if there is an agreement and we take it from there.

“That’s not my call, my job. I just have to do my work on the pitch and then my team and my people will take care of the rest.

“If there is something on the table to stay or leave, we will see.”

Red Devils handed 'last Pavard chance'

Manchester United could get one more bite at signing Benjamin Pavard.

The Red Devils appeared to have lost out to Inter Milan for the Bayern Munich centre-back.

And that hold-up has reportedly given United a new shot at the 27-year-old Frenchman.

Pepe could be replaced by… Pepe out

Nicolas Pepe’s miserable spell at Arsenal appears to be coming to an end.

The Gunners’ one-time record signing is wanted by clubs in Saudi Arabia, and the Ivorian is said to be keen on a mega-money move to the Middle East after turning down Besiktas.

However, there may be no need for any fans to cast off shirts with the forward’s name on the back.

And that’s because the Londoners are in talks with Porto over signing his namesake.

Brazilian Pepe, a 26-year-old winger, is negotiating with a Premier League club regarding a move to England, according to Goal.

Arsenal were linked with the former Gremio ace earlier in the year, and could be willing to bolster their attacking options with a bid.

    Sarr shock for Chelsea fans

Chelsea fans are gobsmacked after discovering how much forgotten defender Malang Sarr is being paid by the club.

Sarr, 24, is understood to be one of three players Mauricio Pochettino is keen to get rid of before the end of the transfer window on September 1.

The other two are striker Romelu Lukaku and forward Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Sarr, who spent last season on loan at Monaco, started just six Premier League games in his first season playing for the Blues after arriving in 2020.

And he is now down the pecking order when it comes to Chelsea's options at centre-back – although it is understood he is struggling to attract interest from other clubs.

Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah are all expected to feature ahead of Sarr when available.

Now the club's chief executive Giuseppe Barone has told Sky:"Sofyan's not working with the squad — but we have still not received any bid for Amrabat this summer.
