Seth Rollins dethrones Dolph Ziggler to clinch Intercontinental gold

Seth Rollins is once again WWE Intercontinental champion after he triumphed over Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam in New York.

Flanked by best pal Dean Ambrose in his corner, a confident Rollins once again clinched one of the company’s most prestigious championships in a superb opening bout of the night.

It was an affair that had everything – a telling contribution by both Dean Ambrose and Drew McIntyre, some epic blows and even some blood as the two fantastic athletes from Monday Night Raw went at it.

Ambrose made his return after nine months out with injury just a week ago, almost exclusively to nullify the impact of McIntyre who had been a thorn in Rolllins’ side as the Scot championed the cause of Ziggler.

The Lunatic Fringe would prove to be invaluable to the cause the of Architect as, at the climax of the match, he delivered Dirty Deeds to the former NXT Champion on the outside – leaving a bloodied Rollins free to finish off Ziggler.

One super kick and curb stomp later, Rollins would have the job done to pick up Intercontinental gold for a second time.
