ROMELU LUKAKU claims he was overweight at Manchester United due to a digestive problem.
SunSport revealed last month that Lukaku was flogged to Inter Milan after returning for pre-season 9lb over his ideal weight.
So Inter manager Antonio Conte sent him for tests to find out what was wrong.
Lukaku said: “Normally I have a fine digestive system. I digest everything very quickly. That's how it had been my entire life.
But what the nutritionist said to me was, it had stopped working."
And the Belgian says a new diet of fish, sweet potatoes, pasta and raw vegetables is working wonders.
He said: “I'm good now. My body is in the zone."
Having said all that there didn’t seem to be a problem in his first season at United after his switch from Everton as he bagged 27 goals in 51 games.
But 15 in 45 last season encouraged United to get their money back on the striker with a £75million move to Inter.
He has now netted in each of his three games for club and country this season.
Lukaku, 26, was joined at the San Siro by fellow United flop Alexis Sanchez, who now whines that it wasn’t the right time for them both to be at Old Trafford.
Sanchez said: “Lukaku and I trained very well but we needed to play more in games to get to our best.
“It wasn't the right time for us to be at Manchester. Too many changes. When you change that much, it's tough.”
