LIVERPOOL’S players will get a crucial Pep talk in their bid to beat Porto.
For Jurgen Klopp is set to rely on the advice of assistant first-team coach Pep Lijnders to again get one over the Portuguese.
Lijnders, 36, worked at Porto for eight years and Klopp fears they will be out for revenge after their 5-0 aggregate drubbing last season in the last 16.
The Kop boss said: “One hundred per cent it could give them extra motivation.
“We have a specialist for Porto in our own team in Pep and he always speaks with so much respect for that club.
“We will have plenty of information and that’s what you need before a game.
"But you still have to play it — and now we prepare. We know how good we had to be to beat them last year.”
The German was very impressed with his Liverpool side’s 3-1 midweek win over Bayern Munich.
He added: “Last year was sensational free-flowing football. But this was the most mature performance we have put in so far in Europe.”
If the Reds win they will set up a mouth-watering semi-final clash with either Barcelona or bitter rivals Manchester United.
