Liverpool team news: Mane set to start as Lovren, Lallana and Solanke remain as doubts for must-win clash against Napoli

The Reds look set to welcome Sadio Mane back to the starting XI, but Dejan Lovren remains a doubt after he missed the match against Bournemouth.

Mane, who has scored seven goals this season, was used as a late substitute during last weekend's 4-0 win over the Cherries.

He missed the win over Bournemouth after he suffered a nasty foot injury during the Merseyside derby.

Lovren did not recover in time for Saturday's match and he is expected to remain on the sidelines at Anfield.

Adam Lallana is a doubt after he suffered a head injury against Bournemouth, but he hinted he could play after the incident.

He wrote on Instagram: "4 stitches to go with the 3 points… but feeling great. Brilliant team performance and result. Anfield on Tuesday then."

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Dominic Solanke is "close" to making his return to the squad.

Andy Robertson and Georgino Wijnaldum will be fit to face the Italian side after they returned to action this weekend.

But Liverpool will remain without injured trio Nathaniel Clyne, Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Speaking ahead of the match, Klopp warned: "We were not good at Napoli so first of all we would like to show we are better than that.

"So we also have to call again on Anfield, and they should help us because that's a massive game.

"Last year we did nearly everything to get qualified for that tournament again because we had the final in the background but we knew we had to do the job in the league.

"In the home games so far weren't quite so impressive. They know as well it will be tough, but they are strong and we need to be very strong."
