Speculation over the player's future has gathered momentum in recent days after Mbappe spoke candidly about his plans.
The forward has entered the final 18 months of his contract and although discussions are ongoing – he refused to commit his future to PSG.
He told reporters: "We're currently negotiating with the club and I am spending considerable time reflecting on many things.
"If I renew with PSG, then it would be to stay here for some considerable time. I plan to make a definitive decision soon, but if I renew, then it will be to stick around."
But new manager Mauricio Pochettino has come out fighting, claiming Mbappe is 'very happy' in Paris and wants to stay for a 'long time' to come.
Pochettino told Marca: "Who doesn’t love Kylian, we say to each other. He makes himself loved, with his smile, his face and his energy.
"There’s lots of rumours, but I see him remaining at PSG for a long time to come and that’s what the club wants.
"We have him in our plans for all the time that we’re going to be at the club.
"Granted he needs to make a decision, but what we see is someone who is very happy here and fully committed to the sporting project at this club."
