KSI blasts rival Logan Paul and accuses US YouTuber of constantly clinching during Manchester showdown

Watford internet celebrity KSI insists his rival "constantly clinched" when he took a big hit during their much-hyped showdown at Manchester Arena.

And he believes he was coming on strong at he end, whilst Paul was out on his feet.

KSI said: “Personally I thought I won the fight, in all honesty, he was absolutely gassed by the end of the fight and I was still ready to keep going.

"You saw the fight I was first to stand up every time after the break.

“I think the most annoying thing about him was him clinching, he constantly clinched it was SO ANNOYING.

“When I hit him with a big shot he would just cower and just hold on to me.

“Obviously he was just using his wrestling background to make sure I didn’t get away and that why there was a few times I was shrugging him off.

“The referee was having a go at me for that. I was like I need to do something he’s trying to waste time and I’ve got the beating of him.

“It came out as a draw – I thought that was quite bulls***, I’ve looked at the fight again, it shouldn’t have been a draw, it’s not like I beat him by a landslide, it was very close."

But KSI insisted he was proud of his display as many thought he would me "absolutely destroyed" by the "athletic beast" he was taking on.

Reflecting on the showdown, he said: “So today is Monday, a few days after the fight, oh my gosh what a fight,

"I’ve just been sleeping most of the days since the fight.

“Let my body rest up and heal after six long rounds.

“He’s [Logan Paul] athletic background definitely showed it that fight, he had a very very good jab I’ll give him that, it was nice and snappy, nice and long.

“After the first two rounds I started to figure him out, then I was able to slip his jab and work on the inside, get a few jabs of my own, a few over hands there, a few right hooks – left hooks.

“After them first two rounds, my friends and family had their hearts in their mouths.

“I dug in deep and used my boxing knowledge and started to work hard.

“Brought him into the deep end and he was clearly struggling to deal with that. He’s lucky to get a draw out of that but hey, your boys still the champion.

“So many people said that I was going to get ‘absolutely destroyed,’ – ‘he’s an athletic beast, he’s bigger than you, stronger than you, he’s going to wipe the floor with you, KSI isn’t even going to be a challenge for Logan,’ but I’d say the fight says otherwise."
